This OSHA 10 General Industry course is taught through a tree care industry lens, but it’s open to anyone who needs an OSHA 10 General Industry DOL card.
Tree work is one of the highest-risk trades out there, which makes it a powerful way to understand how hazards and controls work in real life—whether you’re in trees, in the yard, in a shop, or in another industry altogether.
🕒 Schedule
After-Hours Session (Live Virtual)
Time: 5:30–8:00 pm Pacific (PT)
2 hours of live instruction
30 minutes admin / Q&A
Optional office hours after class for anyone who wants extra help or real-world scenario talk
5 consecutive evenings (Mon–Fri)
For other time zones:
Mountain: 6:30–9:00 pm
Central: 7:30–10:00 pm
Eastern: 8:30–11:00 pm
Best for West Coast / Mountain / Central, with East Coast night-owl access.

Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans & Fire Protection Plans | 1 Hour
General Electrical Safety | 1 – Hour
Walking–Working Surfaces (including fall protection basics) | 1 Hour
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) | 1 Hour
Hazard Communication (HazCom) | 1 Hour
Ergonomics – 30 Minutes
- Machine Guarding – 30 Minutes
Fall Protection in Tree Care – 1 Hour
Safety & Health Programs & ANSI Z133 – 1 Hour
Gear Inspection – 1 Hour
💻 Format & Requirements
Live virtual via computer or tablet (no phone-only attendance)
Max 40 students
Classes over 20 include a dedicated proctor to help with attendance, chat, and tech
To receive your OSHA 10 DOL card, you must:
Attend all sessions in full
Have a working camera and microphone
Use a reliable internet connection
Be visibly present and participate as requested
Students who do not meet attendance and participation requirements will not receive their DOL card.
