How it Works
Step One – Select the Patron Level 1 – Year Membership. Our pricing is NO-LOCO (meaning No and Low Cost). Simply put, we offer as much value as we can for as little as we can with our base membership…and we don’t think that’s crazy. A Low cost paywall provides just enough friction to keep the riff raff out, reduces our reliance on annoying ads, and keeps membership accessible. It also challenges us to find other ways to make money other than optimizing and monetizing our members to death.
Membership w/Merch: Instead of paying cash for the membership alone, you can get your membership by purchasing any two items, with a pre-discounted subtotal of $79.99 or more, and then adding the membership for $20 off (a 77% discount over the regular price of $25.99). Just add the Merch Purch 1-Year Membership Add-on to your cart and enter MERCHPURCH1Y as the coupon code. So, basically, you could buy a hat and a t-shirt and get your membership for only $5.99. We think that’s a pretty good deal and we hope you do too. It costs you a little more, you get some cool stuff, and we make about the same. Seriously…why aren’t more companies doing this?
Step 2 – Choose Add-ons: After you join, you’ll have access to the Membership Add-ons. Some are free and some are paid. Most of the paid levels have only a small one-time token membership charge or application fee for a lifetime membership, as long as you remain a Goat Pen member. This fee isn’t there to extract as much as we can from you…it’s there to cover some admin costs and to provide just enough friction to encourage some level of commitment.
