Outside of membership sales or sales of merch for memberships or sales of merchandise, our policies will be explained on the product or service page.
The following applies for membership sales for cash or from merchandise purchases.
Memberships Return Policy: All sales are final. We don’t offer refunds or returns or exchanges for memberships.
Merchandise Return Policy: Goat Pen uses Print on Demand (POD) services for merchandise. Goat Pen does not offer refunds, returns or exchanges on merchandise. All refunds, returns and exchanges for merchandise are handled in accordance with the POD company policies. POD companies normally limit refunds, returns and exchanges to manufacturer or printer defects only. This means the size, color, design etc. that you you buy is the one you get and the one you keep.
Why do we do this?
- We do this because we consider the membership fee to be a donation to the platform and nobody offers refunds on donations.
- We do this because Goat Pen operates on what we call our “NO LOCO” Pricing Strategy. This means that we aim to provide our services for NO or LOW COST to the member and public at large. We don’t think this is crazy (No Loco) because we plan in advance to monetize in other ways. We have enough experience in small business and the trades to know that many small businesses, especially those under a compliance microscope, get romanced by companies offering a “Pay Per User” pricing model (or similar), that ends up draining the bank account while producing single digit adoption rates resulting in very little positive organizational effect.
- So, we do this to keep our prices low.
- We do this because we offer the option of getting a membership with merchandise so even if you found no value in the community platform or training you got the merch and our merch is not overpriced. If you don’t like the merch, you got the community and the training.
Why do we charge in the first place?
A pay wall is the best deterrent against scammers and spammers.
